The proceedings of the 8th Sulfur Workshop will be published in a new Springer book series 'Proceedings of the International Plant Sulfur Workshop' (De Kok, L.J., Rennenberg, H. and Hawkesford, M.J., Series Editors) and the title of the volume will be "Sulfur Metabolism in Plants: Mechanisms and Application to Food Security, and Responses to Climate Change (De Kok, L.J., Tausz, M., Hawkesford, M.J., Höfgen, R., McManus, M.T., Norton, R.M., Rennenberg, H, Saito, K., Schnug, E. and Tabe, L., Editors).
Participants are able to order a copy of the proceedings volume for a special reduced price of Au$110 (see Registration Form).
All participants, who will present an oral presentation and/or poster are invited to prepare a paper for the proceedings. The papers will be reviewed and will only be accepted if their quality meets the standards of the proceedings volume. Deadline for submission of the papers is November 22, 2010 (the start of the Workshop)!!
The total length of the "oral and poster papers" should not exceed 2,000 words (12,000 characters with spaces) and the total number of tables and figures no more than 4, and references no more than 15. The papers should provide new information based on original research and contain the following sections in this order: Title, names authors and addresses, Abstract (less than 200 words), a brief introduction, a combined methods, results and discussion section, acknowledgments, and references. Provide tables (Word format) and/or figures (high resolution JPEG) appropriately.
The total length of the invited "Introduction" papers should not exceed 4,000 words (24,000 characters with spaces) and the total number of tables and figures no more than 8, and references no more than 30. These review/overview papers should contain the following sections in this order: Title, names authors and addresses, abstract (less than 250 words), text (including introduction and conclusions), acknowledgments, references. Provide tables (Word format) and/or figures (high resolution JPEG) appropriately.
